My suitcase for a sunny holiday
I always travel light.
Over time, I've realized that you need very little on vacation. It's hot, you spend your days in a swimsuit, live in flip-flops, and most of the time, it's the same clothes on rotation throughout the stay.
If I were to leave tomorrow, here's exactly what I'd pack in my suitcase.
The clothes I always bring
My suitcase is quite minimalist. I only pack items I know I'll wear:
- 2 swimsuits;
- a light dress;
- denim shorts;
- 2 tank tops and 2 t-shirts;
- a linen shirt, perfect for sun or evenings;
- one or two sarongs;
- a pair of flip-flops and a pair of sneakers.
On vacation, we live simply. Most of the time, we go from the beach to the cafe, then to the restaurant, without ever needing to change.
The essentials I never leave without
There are a few items I always slip into my beach bag.
- A large tote bag: I put my fouta, water bottle, sunscreen, my cap, and everything else I need for the day. This is why I designed Soré bags: I wanted a tote bag large enough to carry everything, without sacrificing style.

A pouch to protect my phone, papers, and keys from the sand.
- A power bank.
If you're coming to surf
I never leave without several swimsuits that I feel truly comfortable in.
I also always bring a scrunchie that stays put in the waves (believe me, it makes all the difference), zinc, wax, and a longboard carrier. We often spend a lot of time on a scooter with our board. It's an accessory you might not think of before leaving, but once you've tried it, it's hard to do without. Now that I'm a responsible adult, I no longer forget my small first-aid kit.
What I always leave at home
I don't bring a hairdryer, fancy clothes, or a lot of beauty products. On vacation, most of the time is spent in a swimsuit, with salty hair and sandy feet...
Save some space
Not to bring back dozens of souvenirs, but because there's a good chance you'll fall for a sarong, a piece of jewelry, an item of clothing, or a beautiful piece of local craftsmanship. I always come home with a few treasures found during my strolls.
